This Love Letter is For YOU

Dear love, 

This morning, I remind myself, just as I want to remind you - how magnificent you are. 

The earth has moved on its axis today because of your existence. You are a powerful creator of life and love. May this realization add beautiful hues of color to every part of your day. 

This week, we will be diving into the subject of why survivors stay with their abusers. I too, stayed much too long in romantic entanglements that harmed me and no longer served me, thinking that perhaps, one day, things would change. That I’d receive the love that they used to show me or that they promised they had for me…

But I don't live that life anymore. I have been freed and it is the best feeling to wake up every day and give yourself the love you desire and deserve.

You don't have to wait for anyone to give it to you.

If you never heard it before - you are enough, just as you are right now. You deserve the best this life has to offer without the need to fix, prove, or change one thing. You are worthy of love and peace and a life that feels like the sunrise, every single day. 

The more you tell yourself this, the more you will receive it.

The more you show yourself this, the more you will see it.

Sometimes, the weight of the past can feel like chains around your ankles. That is only because you still have work to do to release it. But every day, I see you walking with a lighter footstep, smiling with a brighter shine. The past may whisper that you’re not good enough, that you’re broken and have to earn your worth, but I want to shout to the rooftops -

YOU ARE LOVE!!!

Your past no longer defines you. Wake up to your beautiful self today and decide to live in this moment of this day. You are radiant and unique and that deserves to be celebrated - not bottled up in a jar to only be opened on certain occasions…

So as you walk into this week, hold your head up high, then look around and hold it up even higher! The sun is shining on YOU! You are captivating, you are seen, you are more than valuable and you are more powerful than you can imagine. Hug yourself, and embrace who you are.

Love is a seed that you must plant and water often. You nurture it, consistently so that it continues to grow. In this way, I have been called to nurture you. To give back to you through the gift of words. To remind you of your worth and that you are loved. 

I perform this task with honor and will give you the depths of my heart each week. Thank you for allowing me to serve you.
